Sponsorships and Other Support
The Somerville Homeless Coalition’s work to address homelessness is strengthened through our partnerships with local businesses. From financial contributions to in-kind support to volunteer services and technical expertise, our corporate partners have provided a breadth of support, helping us to expand our services to families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
We offer a number of exciting events through the year with opportunities for businesses to show their support and promote themselves through sponsorships and program ads. These events provide a chance to widen your audience while improving our ability to provide tailored housing solutions to our clients. Sponsors receive recognition in advance of each event through press materials and our website, as well as in our Annual Report.
Many businesses conduct food drives to support our food pantry and meals program, Project SOUP. During the holidays we collect donated gifts for the families and individuals in our shelters and housing programs. Occasionally we can receive furnishings and equipment in good condition, either for the office or for helping a family moving from a shelter into a permanent home.
Volunteers and Technical Expertise
Corporate volunteers can supplement our capacity by working on a specific project, such as a study or research project, helping prepare a meal for our shelter, or helping with a fundraising activity.
Marketing, public relations, and website development are just a few examples of areas of expertise that volunteers can bring to enhance our services and outreach.
