Somerville Homeless Coalition - Project Soup
20 years of providing services, resources & support to help rebuild lives.
Project Soup, New England’s first free supper program,
opened in 1969 and is recognized for its work to combat
hunger. Project Soup serves 70 people a day. Food
donations, monetary contributions, and volunteered time
are always welcome and needed.
PANTRY HOME DELIVERY

Monthly groceries delivered to eligible elderly
and disabled individuals in Somerville and
Cambridge. By application only.

SERVE NEW ENGLAND

“Double-your-money” food package including
meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, staples.
$15 regular, $9 meat, $16 veggie package,
and two hours community service monthly.

NUTRITION CLASSES

Project SOUP in collaboration with Operation
Frontline offers nutrition classes in both
English and Spanish. All classes are free, and
conducted by local chefs in the Boston area.

BENEFIT OUTREACH

Project SOUP provides benefit outreach to
our clients with food stamp application
assistance, referrals to other agencies
,
health and nutrition outreach, etc.
